Patrizia Cocco
Born and raised in Rome, Patrizia has dedicated many years of her life to art history and archaeology, and has taken a Degree at the PIAC, the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archaeology.
Patrizia has worked as a tour leader abroad as well as in her own country, for leading Italian and American tour operators. The love for her hometown and her wish to share it, led her to start working as a professional tour guide, which she has done with great enthusiasm since 1999, when she obtained her licence. She has also taken a special licence for the Vatican City which allows her to cooperate not only with many travel agencies and hotels, but also with the Vatican Museums as a didactic guide.
She speaks fluently English, French and Spanish, and has graduated in Political Science .She loves travelling and reading.
Marco Colzi
He gratuated at the Univeristy of Rome "La Sapienza". He operates in tourism since the early 80's as tour director and Tour Guide. He has a deep passion for art history, archaeology and the secrets of his city, fully aware of the fact that Rome never ends in surprising and attracting its lovers. He holds lessons of Art in Rome to prospective guides of the city and to American students and scholars studying abroad. He likes books, music, food and he is a wine expert. He speaks English, German and Spanish.
Maria Susanna Garroni
One of the few "real" Romans still around, her father being a 7 generation a Roman, she lived in Italy, Africa, the Middle East, and the United States, where she got her M.A. She speaks Italian, English and French. She works mainly as an official guide, but off season she teaches at various universities. Ph.D in History, she wrote some books, but they did not win the Pulitzer Prize. She loves meeting people of different cultures, is still fond of exploring surprising unexpected sights of Rome, enjoys reading, biking and other leisure activities, has a dangerous sweet tooth.
Patricia van den Berg
Patricia was born in New York (USA) from a Dutch father and an Italian mother. She graduated in Architecture in Holland. When she arrived in Rome 23 years ago she fell in love with the city, started to discover the beautiful hidden treasures. She studied to become an official licensed guide of Rome and the Vatican. Patricia loves her work showing people the beauties of Rome, especially families with children. At times she explores small curiosity markets and she loves to travel and to read. She speaks English and Dutch (both mothertongue), French and German.
