The Art of the Emperors
One of the world’s greatest collections of classic art.
The tour includes the National Archeological Museum, the most important museum in Rome for those who want to deepen their knowledge of the ancient art, and the Diocletian’s Baths, transformed into the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels.
The itinerary begins with a visit to the magnificent National Roman Museum. Inside, spread over four floors, some of the most important works of ancient art found in Rome. Just to name a few, we recall the portrait of Augustus, the monumental bronzes of the Boxer and the Prince, the Discus Thrower, an infinite number of imperial portraits and sarcophagi, and the section reserved to the frescoes and mosaics.

Near the museum stands the basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, made in the 16th century within the ruins of the Baths of Diocletian. Inside the Basilica, restructured by Michelangelo, there are important paintings, while on the premises of the monastery is another branch of the National Roman Museum largely devoted to the epigraphy.
